Hi there, I’m Kian and I am a photographer based in South Wales. I went into photography for a few key reasons. Firstly, I love being able to capture people at their best and bring out their unique qualities through my photos. It's so fulfilling to see someone light up when they see their portraits, and know that I was able to create images that truly capture their personality and essence.
Secondly, I'm passionate about capturing special moments - whether it's a gorgeous sunset or a couple's first kiss at their wedding. There's something truly magical about being able to freeze those moments in time and remember them forever through a photo.
Lastly, I simply love photography and wanted to make a career out of it. There's nothing quite like the thrill of seeing a beautiful photo come to life, and I wanted to hone my skills and create stunning images that would bring joy to others. Overall, I feel so grateful to be able to pursue my passion and LOVE what I do.
WHY AM I CALLED SANTARA PHOTOGRAPHY?
Good question! I decided to name my photography business Santara as a tribute to my parents. The name combines the first two letters of my mum's name, Sarah (Sa), with 'Antara', derived from 'Anantara', the first holiday destination to Dubai that my dad surprised us with.
Santara symbolizes the affection and backing I receive from my family, as well as the happiness and adventure associated with exploring new horizons while capturing your moments through my lens. My parents have been a constant source of motivation and support in my life, and it was essential to me that my photography business embodies their influence and spirit. My parents have always been a source of inspiration and encouragement for me, and it was important that my photography business reflected that.
WHY I DO WHAT I DO?
My goal is to create a photography session that feels like you. I want you to feel comfortable and natural, like we're just hanging out and capturing moments together. I know that being in front of the camera can sometimes feel intimidating, so I take great care to create a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Whether we're shooting in a studio or out on location, my aim is to create an experience that reflects your personality, style, and preferences. By listening closely to your ideas and vision, I can tailor the session to your unique needs, so that the end result truly feels like a reflection of who you are. My intention is to have fun together and create some amazing memories that you will treasure for years to come. I believe that authentic and genuine moments make the best photos, so I encourage you to be yourself and enjoy the moment.
