I'M SO GLAD YOU'RE HERE!
Hi there, I’m Kian and I am a photographer based in South Wales. I went into photography for a few key reasons. Firstly, I love being able to capture people at their best and bring out their unique qualities through my photos. It's so fulfilling to see someone light up when they see their portraits, and know that I was able to create images that truly capture their personality and essence.
Secondly, I'm passionate about capturing special moments - whether it's a gorgeous sunset or a couple's first kiss at their wedding. There's something truly magical about being able to freeze those moments in time and remember them forever through a photo.
Lastly, I simply love photography and wanted to make a career out of it. There's nothing quite like the thrill of seeing a beautiful photo come to life, and I wanted to hone my skills and create images that would bring joy to others. Overall, I feel so grateful to be able to pursue my passion and LOVE what I do.
why am i called sANTARA PHOTOGRAPHY?
A Name Rooted in Family and Love
Good question! I decided to name my photography business Santara as a tribute to my parents. The name combines the first two letters of my mum's name, Sarah (Sa), with 'Antara', derived from 'Anantara', the first holiday destination to Dubai that my dad surprised us with.
Santara symbolises the affection and backing I receive from my family, as well as the happiness and adventure associated with exploring new horizons while capturing your moments through my lens. My parents have been a constant source of motivation and support in my life and it was important that my photography business reflected that.

What matters most to me
My goal is to create a photography experience that feels like you. I want you to feel comfortable, natural, and confident - like we’re just spending time together and capturing moments as they unfold. I know being in front of the camera can feel a little intimidating at first, which is why I take such care to create a relaxed, joyful atmosphere from the very beginning.
I truly believe I’ve been put on this earth to do photography. If you love light, airy, romantic images, then it’s my job - and my joy - to bring that vision to life for you. The result is timeless, genuine photographs that capture not only how your day looked but how it felt too.
