I would like to start this blog by sending a huge congratulations to Rosie and Tom on their wedding at Rhosygilwen Mansion in Pembrokeshire on August 3rd!
I first met Rosie a few years ago at college (who later on introduced me to Tom) before I even started Santara Photography. At that time, I had a dream of becoming a wedding photographer. I remember taking a portrait of Rosie during a studio session at college, and it got some positive attention from the class. As I was at the time an aspiring wedding photographer and was taking portraits of my classmates (Rosie included) to add to my portfolio, I thought to myself, “If Rosie and Tom ever decide to tie the knot, I’d love to photograph it.” as I was loving portrait photography but wanted to photograph a wedding to add to my portfolio. Fast forward to last year, I started Santara Photography with a couple of weddings under my belt and Rosie reached out to me to let me know she and Tom were getting married in August and wanted me to photograph their big day - I was beyond excited!
Rosie and Tom's wedding was absolutely magical! The colours, the atmosphere, the flowers—everything matched the joyful vibe of Rosie, Tom, their families, and their friends. It was such an honour to be part of it all. From the getting ready shots in the morning to the fun of tipsy guests at the end of the night, the day was filled with so much love and positivity. Rhosygilwen Mansion was the perfect backdrop, with countless beautiful spots for photos.
I want to thank Rosie and Tom for trusting me with such a special moment in their lives; it's a day I’ll always remember! A big shoutout to the best men for keeping everything running smoothly and to Rosie and Tom’s families, bridesmaids, groomsmen, close friends, and all the guests who made the day unforgettable—each of you played such a special role. Last but not least, I could not have done this all without my good friend Luke, who assisted me throughout the day.
When I sent Rosie and Tom their gallery, they received more than 950 fully edited images from their special day and I couldn't be more thrilled to share a selection of these with you all on the blog!
